One of the very few issues we can encounter while browsing is the mistake of closing a tab in use or that we still need. Hence, the need to get it back is important and this is why I want to teach you how to reopen closed tabs.

Most popular web browsers on mobile help to reopen recently closed tabs just like in PC and MacBook. This includes Apple’s Safari, Google Chrome and other major third–party browsers on iPhone and iPad.

Here is how you can bring back closed tabs on your iPhone browser.

Reopening Closed Tabs on Safari (iPhone)

While on the Safari browser, first tap the Tab View button from the bottom right corner of the Safari app to see the open tabs.
Now, tap and hold the New Tab button (usually a plus sign) and wait for a second or two for the Recently Closed Tabs screen to appear.
Find and tap any recently closed tab to reopen it.

Reopening Closed Tabs on Safari (iPad)

From your Safari browser on iPad, simply tap and hold the New Tab button from the toolbar until the Recently Closed Tabs appears.
Choose the recently closed tab that you would like to restore and the webpage will be reopened outrightly.

Reopening Closed Tabs on Google Chrome (iPhone or iPad)

From the Google Chrome browser on your iPhone or iPad, tap the menu button and go to Recent Tabs. A list of all recently closed tabs is displayed under the Recently Closed section.
Choose the tab you want to restore and that is it.

Reopening lost tabs is as simple as explained above. If you no longer see a closed tab in the list anymore, please try looking for it from the browser history. Also, note that tabs closed in Private Browsing Mode are deleted automatically and cannot be reopened due to privacy reasons.
