Stephen Appiah, the former captain of Ghana’s senior men’s football team, has denied sleeping with socialite Abena Korkor. Stephen Appiah denied having an affair with Abena Korkor via an offical press statement to the public.
The former Black Stars midfield maestro described the circumstances of their encounter in a tweet on Thursday.

“I have never encountered the stated author in any particular way other than at a few open and public occasions where she sought my permission to take pictures with me,” the former Udinese player added.
The controversial self-professed mental and sexual health therapist recently posted a list of celebrities with whom she has slept.
Abena Korkor cited footballer Asamoah Gyan and artist Stonebwoy among the celebrities she mentioned.
The news sparked outrage on the microblogging platform.
However, in response to her assertions, Mr Appiah stated that he does not have an amorous relationship with Miss Korkor.
Any writings about him and her, he claims, “are not only incorrect, baseless, and unjustified, but also mischievous and whimsical conjectures of the claimed author.”
“I am compelled to respond to this needless provocation since that false and disrespectful story strikes at the very core of my hard-won reputation, both at home and abroad,” Stephen Appiah continued.
“Disregard the rude and aggressive publications and treat it with the contempt it deserves,” he urged his family, friends, and well-wishers.
