The Capital Group Limited is advertising a factory manager job on behalf of a foreign import & export company involved mainly in the production of tissue paper, slippers and shoes in Cotonou.
The company is searching for an enthusiastic, goal-driven and dedicated professional with a strong sense of integrity to join the team as Factory Manager.

About the Role
As Factory Manager (Production Manager), you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility. You will ensure production runs smoothly while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management
- Recruit, train and supervise production staff (assemblers, packers, equipment operators, etc.)
- Identify and hire one or two strategic production technicians to support operations
- Hire a commercial technician to help organize a marketing team and strengthen the commercial strategy
- Evaluate team performance and support staff to improve productivity and efficiency
Training & Development
- Attend specialized training in Ghana to learn local production practices and industry best standards
- Implement continuous development programs for production teams
Planning & Coordination
- Develop work schedules and assign tasks according to production priorities
- Coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure deadlines and targets are met
Resource Management
- Allocate equipment, raw materials and staff efficiently to maintain standards
- Negotiate with suppliers and service providers for quality and cost-effective solutions
Production Oversight
- Monitor production processes and adjust methods where necessary
- Work closely with quality control teams to ensure products meet required standards
- Review processes regularly and identify improvement opportunities
Safety & Compliance
- Train teams on safety procedures and regulatory requirements
- Provide tools and resources to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
Financial Management & Reporting
- Estimate production costs and develop strategies to optimize expenses
- Prepare detailed production performance reports for senior management

Education & Experience
- Degree in production management, engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ management experience in an industrial environment
- Experience specifically in tissue paper, slippers or shoe production is preferred
- Experience at World Shoe Limited (Akosombo), Blowplast Industries or Interplast Ltd is highly encouraged
- Willingness to attend professional training sessions in Ghana
- Fluency in English and French/Ewe (Lome language) is highly preferred
