Application are invited for the Italy Government Scholarship 2022/2023. This a fully funded scholarship intended for students interested in pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree. For the academic year 2022/2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers grants to foreign nationals and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) in order to foster international cooperation in cultural, scientific, and technological fields, to promote Italian language and culture, and to support Italy’s economic system in the world (according to Law 288/55 and its subsequent changes and additions).
Requirements:
- Only foreigners living out side of Italy are eligible to apply for this scholarship
- Additionally, Italian students living abroad (IRE) with the necessary academic qualifications to enroll in an Italian university or institute can also apply.
- Applicants for Master’s Degree/Higher Education in Arts, Music, and Dance (AFAM) Programs/Advanced Italian Language and Culture Courses must be at least 18 years old and not more than 28 years and 364 days old by the deadline.
- With the exception of renewals, applicants for PhD programs must have reached the age of majority and must not be older than 30 years and 364 days by the deadline
- Applicants for Research Projects under Academic Supervision must be of legal age and must not be older than 40 years and 364 days before the deadline.

Applicants must provide a language certification verifying their English language competency in order to enroll in an English-taught course.B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is the minimum requirement (CEFR)

A Self-certification may be accepted by the from students who come from English speaking countries. Students who have received a Bachelor’s degree in English may submit a paper certifying that their studies were conducted entirely in English.
- For courses exclusively taught in English, no proof of Italian fluency is necessary.

Successful candidates will receive monthly stipends from of 900 euros.

Health and medical insurance will be provided for students throughout the scholarship period

Accident expenditures form part of the medical insurance.

Depending on the applicant’s course, the host organization will provide scholarships for three, six, or nine months.
