Ashinaga Africa presents great scholarships for needy and orphaned African students who want to further their undergraduate education abroad.
The AAI gives financial assistance for international university degrees, leadership training, and support to help Scholars become compassionate change-makers.
Requirements:
- You must have lost one or both parents
- Candidate must be born after September 2001
- To be eligible, you must not be able to afford your studies abroad without financial help
- Must have completed secondary school exams within two years (post-1st August 2021, inclusive 2022 and 2023) and have obtained final exam results before February 9, 2024.
- Be proficient in English, French or Portuguese
- Be healthy enough to take a course abroad
- Do not have any dependents that might affect your academic progress.
- After you graduate, it is important that you are dedicated to returning home or to Sub-Saharan Africa with the goal of making a positive impact on society.
- Maintain a consistent position in the top 10% of your class for the last 2 or 3 years of secondary school.
- You must be able to take part in two Ashinaga preparatory programmes, which will last for one year, before you go to university.

Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, CAR, Cameroon, Chad, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, DRC, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Kenya, Kingdom of eSwatini, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Seychelles, Sudan, Tanzania, The Gambia, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
