Jamell Maurice Demons (born May 1, 1999), better known by his stage name YNW Melly (short for Young Nigga World Melly), is a rapper and vocalist from the United States. YNW 2015
After firing rounds at three persons at Vero Beach High School, Demons was arrested on three counts of severe assault with a deadly weapon and one count of discharging a handgun in public on October 19, 2015. Demons was imprisoned for a year before being freed on probation.
2017
Demons was arrested in 2017 for breaking his probation and served time in prison before being freed in March 2018.
2019
Demons was arrested for marijuana possession in Fort Myers on January 3, 2019.
First Degree Murder Charges – 2019
Demons was charged with two counts of first-degree murder on February 12, 2019, in connection with the shooting deaths of two YNW associates described as his good friends, rappers YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in October 2018. Demons apparently plotted with fellow YNW rapper Cortlen Henry to stage the double-murder of Williams and Thomas Jr. and make it appear as if they were killed in a drive-by shooting, according to authorities. Henry is accused of driving the victims to the hospital, where they eventually died from their injuries. On February 13, 2019, Demons turned himself in.

This follows on the heels of the release of 100K Track’s new single “Rings” couple of weeks back. Track, YNW Melly’s manager and former King Von’s manager, updated his Instagram Stories to indicate that Melly is reportedly on his way home.
