A lady makes history as she designs the world’s longest wig. The lady is called Helen Williams.
She is a renowned wigmaker from Nigeria who took it upon herself to craft the world’s longest handmade wig, measuring an impressive 351.28 meters (1,152 ft 5 in). This commendable feat took Helen 11 days and over two million naira (£2,031; $2,493) to accomplish.
To make this extraordinary piece, Helen used a foundation of wig-cap netting and black fabric attached to a bicycle helmet.
Helen completed the hairpiece using 1,000 bundles of hair, 12 cans of hair spray, 35 tubes of hair glue, and 6,250 hair clips.

Even though sourcing materials was a daunting task, Helen, drawing on her eight years of experience as a professional wigmaker, sailed through successfully.
The lady explained, “Finding the materials to make the world’s longest wig was not an easy task. My experience as a wigmaker helped a lot.”
Helen, who produces 50 to 300 wigs per week and has trained numerous students, found the record-breaking adventure through that.
The creation of this wig stands as a testament to Helen’s love for her craft and her willingness to push boundaries in the world of wig making. She has also received congratulatory messages from many who were impressed by her feat.
