Nollywood’s popular actor, Mr. Ibu, whose real name is John Okafor, is battling illness in a private hospital in Lagos.
In an Instagram video, the Mr John appealed to fans for prayers and assistance. He’s been hospitalized for several weeks, and doctors have let him know of the possibility of getting his leg amputated if other treatments fail. He was so scared of having to live without a leg.
His daughter, Jasmine Okafor, also joined in the video, begging individuals and organizations to help fly her father abroad for treatment, as he isn’tgetting any better upon all the treatments given him in one of Lagos’ best private facilities.
They have tried to cover the medical bills alone but it seems to be getting out of hand. His wife, who also spoke in the video was distressed at her husband’s condition and joined in the plea for help.

This video came out as Mr. Ibu hit his 62nd birthday. The actor, known for his roles in over 200 Nollywood movies, including “Mr. Ibu” (2004) and “Mr. Ibu and His Son,” is suffering a health crisis that has ticked the sentiments of his fans and well-wishers.
