The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has accounted that there has been an 11.7% increase in the number of job postings or advertised jobs.
The number of openings posted in various print and online media in October 2022 was higher than in the same period a year prior, which can be seen as an indication of rising labor demand in the economy.
Statistics gathered by the Bank of Ghana show that the number of job postings increased by 11.7% annually, from 2,734 recorded in 2021 compared with 3,055 recorded the same period in 2022.
Compared to the 2,611 openings posted in September 2022, the number of positions available in October 2022 increased by 17.0%.
The overall number of job postings, however, fell cumulatively by 9.5% from the same time period in 2021 to 2022, down from 29,380 to 26,595.
