The balloting for National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) spots has ended and the one-eighth stage fixtures have been posted from day 1 to day 4.
After the preliminary stage of the competition concluded on Thursday, 39 schools qualified automatically for the one-eighth stage by virtue of winning their respective competitions.
These schools will be joined by 15 of the best runners-up schools.
The preview of the NSMQ 2022 one-eighth stage will be on October 14th whereas Saturday, October 15 will mark the beginning of this year’s One-eighth stage of the competition.
Fixtures and Dates for the One-eighth Stage
The images above show the Fixtures for the NSMQ 2022 One-eighth Stage. Per the fixtures, Prempeh College will compete against St. Thomas Aquinas and Ofori Panyin SHS in the one-eighth stage. Augustine’s College will face Tamale Islamic Science SHS and Achimota School, two of the expectedly tough rounds this stage will anticipate to experience.
Lots of surprises are expected at this stage since no school would like to be kicked out easily. Also, as Aburi Girls got kicked out of the competition at Preliminary Stage, it is feared that some big names might as well fall to some underdogs at this round.

The 2022 National Science and Maths Quiz is produced by Primetime Limited and sponsored by the Ghana Education Service in partnership with Absa Ghana. It is also supported by GOIL, Prudential Life Insurance, Dano Milk, AirtelTigo, Accra College of Medicine, NewMont, Academic City University College and Y FM.
