A Nigerian man named Gideon Vitallis, age 24, was arrested by operatives of the National Intelligence Bureau(NIB) for allegedly murdering Patience Ago Quaye.
Patience was a cash point operator at the Twumasiwaa Memorial Clinic in Accra, Ghana. She was a 32-year-old mother who worked at the center. She was found dead in a storage room on March 8th after being missing for several days.
Patience had gone to work at the facility located in Otinshie in the Adenta Municipality on the night of March 6th, but she did not return home.

After failed attempts to reach her, her family reported her missing to the police. The police, along with the family, went to the medical center to search for Patience and found her body after breaking into the Administration Room where they detected a foul smell.
The suspect was previously a storekeeper there where he was dismissed due to theft. He returned to the hospital to rob the cash point and confronted Patience, who had just closed from work.
For some time the lady disappeared and could not be found. The suspect later sent a message from her phone claiming that she had been kidnapped, demanding a ransom of GH¢20,000.
The kidnapping element in the crime caught the attention of the NIB operatives, who were deployed to investigate. The security personnel received information from the hospital that a dead body had been found which was later confirmed to be missing lady.
The authorities finally arrested the suspect after tracing him to Koforidua. The NIB fetched him at the Koforidua Central Market.
During interrogation on March 11th, 2023, the suspect confessed to how the deceased died. The authorities have charged him with murder and are currently holding him in police custody.
