The Ashanti region’s Ghana Education Service (GES) Directorate has publicized that there are teaching jobs at the Senior High School (SHS) level.
In a signed letter dated 28th September, 2023, Mr William Kwame Amankra Appiah, the Ashanti Regional Director of the GES, wrote that qualified serving teachers under the Ghana Education Service at the Basic School level who have the zeal to teach at any of the Senior High Schools are entreated to submit their applications to the Regional Director of Education, Ashanti not later than Tuesday, 3rd October, 2023. In light of this, any and all parties interested are to accord this information the highest priority.

About The Institution:
The Ghana Education Service was created in 1974 as part of the Public Service of Ghana. It was established by NRCD 247 and has since been amended by NRCD 252, 357, and SMCD 63.
The earlier legislations in Ghana have been amended by Acts of Parliament, including Act 506 in 1994 and Act 778 in 2008, under the fourth Republican Constitution. The GES Council, which consists of fifteen members, is responsible for governing the Education Service.
The Service is responsible for curriculum development, policy formulation, Assessment and examinations, students enrollment, teacher recruitment and school management.
