Public Holiday in Ghana

The general public is informed of the Declaration of Friday, December 2nd, 2022 as a Statutory Public Holiday in Ghana.

Friday, 2nd December, 2022 marks Farmers Day in Ghana. As such, the day is to be celebrated and observed as as a public and statutory holiday.

The President of the Republic of Ghana has by an Executive Instrument (EI), and in accordance with section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act, 2001 (601) declared the Public Holiday.

The Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery, issued a press release with the aforementioned information (Declaration) to the general public.

The general public is hereby reminded that Friday, 2nd December, 2022 which marks Farmers’ Day is a Statutory Public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.

2nd December, 2022 falls on a Friday and therefore, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana has by an Executive Instrument (EI), and in accordance with section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act, 2001 (601) declared Friday, 2nd December, 2022 as a Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.
