There is an amazing job opening at M & Sousa Ghana Ltd, a well-established and respected construction company. The company is seeking a qualified and experienced to fill the Construction Planner. This role is ideal for a person who is detail-oriented and skilled in planning and coordinating construction activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
The successful candidate will be assigned to developing, managing, and monitoring project schedules, while working closely with site teams and management to support efficient project execution.
Main Duties
- Preparing, updating, and closely monitoring detailed project schedules and work programmes
- Coordinating planning activities with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors
- Tracking project progress and identifying potential delays, risks, and appropriate mitigation measures
- Developing both short-term and long-term construction programmes, including look-ahead schedules
- Supporting cost control efforts by aligning schedules with budgets and procurement plans
- Preparing regular progress reports, cash flow forecasts, and planning dashboards for management review
- Ensuring that all project activities comply with contractual requirements and agreed timelines

Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
- At least four (4) years of hands-on experience in construction planning, preferably on civil or building projects
- Strong proficiency in planning and scheduling tools such as MS Project and Microsoft Excel
- A solid understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and contract requirements
- • Experience working closely with site teams and subcontractors
