Guinness Ghana is seeking a Network Administrator to join the Information Technology (IT) in Achimota. S/he will report to the Infrastructure Manager.
The Network Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining all network and related systems to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing connectivity across the business. The role ensures full compliance with IT and cybersecurity standards while supporting both IT and OT environments to meet operational goals. It contributes to continuous improvement in network performance, system availability, and user support across Guinness Ghana Breweries Plc.

Key Accountabilities
- Administer and maintain all network and datacenter infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, SD-WAN, virtual/cloud networking, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance with Group Castelpolicies.
- Oversee patching, backups, and license management for network systems. Ensure secure backup externalization and implement logging and access control policies.
- Serve as a technical leader within the infrastructure team, working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality IT services and contribute to infrastructure development initiatives.
- Provide responsive support for network and system-related issues, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and handling user requests via calls or emails.
- Develop training materials and job aids for effective network usage, conduct in-house training sessions, and support team development through knowledge transfer.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network and datacenter architectures, installation/configuration procedures, and implemented services. Recommend improvements and report risks.
- Lead or support network and datacenter projects, including planning, coordination, and implementation, even beyond default responsibilities when required.
- Conduct regular infrastructure audits to ensure compliance with GGBL’s IT Operating Model, prevent unauthorized software use, and stay updated on emerging technologies.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in network administration or similar technical role.
- Intermediate experience with networking, routing, switching, LAN/WAN technologies, MS Office 365, and database management. Strong teamwork, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Advanced knowledge in Windows Server and systems administration.
- Practical experience in hybrid infrastructure environments and execution of standard network operations.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and user support capabilities
