The service of a Functional Lead (Business Analyst) is needed at Guinness Ghana’s Information Technology (IT) department. This role reports the Business Operations Manager.
The job holder is responsible for effective provisioning of support, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Business Application Systems related to their scope. This individual ensures that business solutions and applications and related procedures adhere to GGBL’s organizational values, goals, and strategic vision. The scope of action primarily serves departmental needs but extends across the wider organization to ensure system reliability, integration, and alignment with business priorities.
Major Responsibilities
- Work closely with the IT Department and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery, contribute to ICT initiatives, and support the efficient operation of business processes.
- Provide timely and effective support for all IT applications, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and responding promptly to user requests via calls or emails.
- Develop job aids and training materials, conduct in-house training sessions, and assess trainee progress in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain and administer business applications, ERP systems, and databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and compliance with IT standards.
- Execute planned operational tasks, perform regular system maintenance, and ensure daily backups and restore tests are conducted for critical applications.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Report security threats and system issues to the Business Systems Manager.
- Support and participate in ICT infrastructure and business projects, including system upgrades, hardware/software configuration, and special application initiatives.
- Conduct software audits, support disaster recovery testing, and ensure adherence to GGBL’s IT Operating Model and compliance standards.
- Recommend and implement improvements to system configurations and processes, staying updated with emerging technologies to enhance IT service delivery.
Education And Work Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in business systems administration or ERP support role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL-based database systems.
- Strong analytical thinking with ability to translate business requirements into technical actions.
- Proven ability to support users, lead functional tasks, and manage work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
