Technical Operator (Packaging) At Guinness

Guinness is in search of a dedicated and talented Technical Operator (Packaging) to work in the Supply division at Kaase. The Packaging Team Lead will be your direct supervisor.

The incumbent operates and maintains packaging equipment to deliver safe, quality, and efficient production output. The role ensures machines are operated according to Standard Process and Work Instructions and performs first-line maintenance to support equipment reliability, volume delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

Champion Occupational Health and Safety standards by acting as a visible safety ambassador and enforcing packaging H&S procedures.
Safely operate and troubleshoot packaging equipment to optimize productivity.
Accurately report on all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Support the Packaging Team Lead in achieving production plans, performance targets, and customer service levels.
Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules to maximize equipment availability and efficiency.
Ensure effective use of raw materials, minimizing and accounting for waste.
Monitor and optimize bottle quality, delivering Right First Time (RFT) performance on quality parameters.
Respond promptly to non-conformances, recording and sharing learnings to prevent recurrence.
Provide support during breakdowns and maintenance, demonstrating flexibility in availability and work practices.
Pursue training and development opportunities while supporting team member capability growth.
Prepare and comment on required operational reports (status sheets, check sheets, condition monitoring sheets, etc.).
Communicate effectively with upstream and downstream operators to maximize line performance.

Key Requirements:

HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years’ experience in Operations, Maintenance, Process Control, and Performance Measurement within a brewery, drinks, or food manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Permit to Work systems, SHE policies, and statutory requirements.
Solid understanding of teamwork principles, continuous improvement, preventative maintenance, and problem-solving.
High attention to detail with a strong sense of responsibility
