Qualifications & Experience
- A strong academic background is required, ideally a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8–10 years of progressive experience in banking or financial services, with solid exposure to Business or SME Banking.
- Professional certifications such as CA, CFA, ACCA, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or similar will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience managing products from start to finish — from design and development to performance tracking and profitability.
- Good understanding of banking products, credit processes, customer needs, and market trends.
- Experience in business strategy, planning, and performance management within the financial sector.
- Hands-on experience in sales and operations, especially in Business or SME Banking.
- Ability to build financial models, dashboards, and reports that support decision-making at senior levels.
Technical & Industry Skills
Product & Business Banking
- Strong knowledge of SME and Business Banking products such as loans, deposits, trade finance, payments, and digital solutions.
- Ability to manage the full product lifecycle from idea generation to launch and post-launch review.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, risk management, and product governance frameworks.
- Experience reviewing product performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Analytics & Financial Planning
- Strong analytical skills with tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar.
- Experience in financial modelling, portfolio analysis, and performance tracking.
- Good understanding of budgeting processes, including planning, monitoring, and variance analysis.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and turn data into clear business insights.
Strategy & Planning
- Ability to turn strategy into clear action plans and measurable targets.
- Experience in market research, competitor analysis, and trend tracking.
- Clear understanding of how strategy connects with operations and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Development
- Lead the development of Business and SME Banking products from concept to launch and beyond.
- Ensure all products meet regulatory and risk requirements.
- Regularly review product performance and improve profitability and customer value.
- Identify new opportunities through market trends and customer insights.
- Work with Marketing to promote products and increase usage.
Business Performance & Reporting
- Develop forecasting models, dashboards, and performance reports.
- Track and report performance across Business and SME segments.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across systems.
- Support budgeting and financial planning processes.
Strategic Planning & Analysis
- Support the development of business strategies aligned with market needs.
