There is an employment prospect at Mantrac, Takoradi, Ghana. The service of a Health Safety & Environment Officer is needed. The title holder will be responsible for ensuring that the business complies with health and safety regulations while advising employees and other managers in their efforts to maintain a safety and healthy workplace.
Objectives:
- Ensures all safety poncies and pracuces are in line win mantrac Groups safety vision and principles and worldwide practices
- Provides detalled reports regaraing incidents, risk, and safety performance.
- Develops procedures for managina and disposina hazardous substances.
- Develops, monitors, and constantly improve Health, Safety and Environment procedures for the branch.
Accountabilities:
- Ensures a Safety policies and practices are in line with alobal best practices
- Develops procedures for managing and disposing hazardous substances
- Develops a Comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure for Branch Operations
- Ensures sate working and Environmental Practices are strictiv followed.
- Reviews safe working procedures as and when it becomes necessarv.
- Keeping an up-to-date record of all Health, safety and environmental issues
Desired Profile:
- A good first Degree in BSc. Engineering will be an advantage not essential.
- Certification from National Examination Board in Occupationa Safety and Health (NEBOSH)
- Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and/or Occupational Health and Safety
Assessment Series - OHSAS-eac Aucitor Certification and’or Internal Auditor Certification – Certification will be an
- Advantage, not essential.
- A minimum of Five (5 vears experience in a similar role
- Abreast of worldwide Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
