A reputable airline is seeking the services of a Ticketing Officer. The job is located at the Airport in Accra.
Skills And Qualifications
- Proficiency in Amadeus GDS: Hands-on experience with ticketing and reservation processes.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in issuing tickets and calculating fares.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills to assist customers and resolve issues.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Travel Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with IATA codes, airline regulations, and travel policies.
Responsibilities:
Flight Reservations & Bookings:
- Use the Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS) to make flight reservations and issue tickets for customers.
- Manage booking changes, cancellations, and refunds.
Customer Service:
- Assist customers in selecting flight schedules and itineraries.
- Provide information about fares, promotions, and travel policies.
Ticket Issuance & Reissuance:
- Issue, reissue, or void tickets accurately using the Amadeus system.
- Resolve ticketing errors and ensure compliance with airline rules.
Fare Calculations & Cost Estimations:
- Calculate and verify ticket costs based on travel itineraries.
- Provide fare quotes and ensure adherence to tariff policies.
Problem Resolution:
- Handle booking conflicts, overbooked flights, and travel disruptions.
- Liaise with airlines to resolve ticketing or booking issues.
Reporting:
- Maintain daily, weekly, or monthly sales and ticketing reports.
- Track and report on ticket sales and revenue generation.
Coordination:
- Work with airlines, travel agents, and corporate clients to manage group bookings and special travel requests.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
Customer Support for Travel-Related Services:
- Provide guidance on visa processes, baggage policies, and travel insurance if required.
