USAID has about 4 slots to give out for the positions listed below. The vacancies are based in DC headquarters and Republic of Marshall Islands (RMI).
The Positions At USAID:
1. Project Management Specialist
The job holder serves as the USAID senior local staff in RMI. S/he advises and provides support to the organization’s Country Coordinator in the planning, design, implementation and monitoring of programs to help achieve the following objectives in the RMI: to support the U.S. government (USG) broader foreign policy objectives in the region: to address country and regional priorities; to complement other donor efforts; to report on the recent news, developments, and perspectives from the field and advise on how the portfolio can be adjusted more effectively. The Specialist is responsible for project management, representational and outreach, coordination, program, and administrative support.
2. Congressional Liaison Specialist
This title does not have a positive education requirement.Therefore, no transcripts are required. As the role handler, you will be tasked with the following:
- Monitoring Congressional schedule of legislative hearings and consults with Bureau and Office colleagues regarding participation based on program strategy.
- Maintaining senior staff, General Counsel and Bureau/Mission counterparts apprised of any relevant or significant legislative changes or increased activity in particular areas of interest.
- Networking continuously with selected Members of Congress and their staffs for the purpose of gaining acceptance of legislative proposals, assessing their interest and attitudes toward legislative and programmatic issues relevant to agency.
