Sad news reaching music lovers and AMG Business fans has it that Medikal is remanded in police custody for 5 days.
This was following his reported arrest on Thursday for brandishing gun on social media.
The celebrated artiste, born Samuel Adu Frimpong, was charged with an unlawful display of arms and ammunition.
Medikal was charged with illegally displaying arms and ammunition, to which he pled not guilty.
Section 7 of the Arms and Ammunitions Act stipulate that;
“No person shall, except in accordance with the terms of a permit granted under this Decree or with the written consent of the Inspector-General of Police, publicly display any arms or ammunition (including explosives) or discharge any firearm or other weapon in any public place.“
Fela Makafui, Bra Frimpong’s wife, and other members of his management team were seen at the courthouse for the hearing.
Medikal was reported to be arrested on Thursday, few hours after Shatta Wale, a fellow musician and friend, was remanded into police custody.
The self-proclaimed dancehall king was detained on charges of distributing false information.
On Monday, October 18, he allegedly made up a tale that he had been shot and was seeking treatment, which turned out to be a fabrication.
The controversial singer pleaded not guilty to a charge in an Accra Circuit Court.

Medikal hails from Sowutuom, a suburb in Accra, Ghana. Medikal and Sarkodie had the highest nominations for the 2017 edition of the Ghana Music Awards.
In 2018, he was on the Tim Westwood Show. Medikal had his High School education at Odorgonno Senior High. He is the son of James Frimpong and Portia Lamptey.
Samuel adopted the name Medikal because he was fascinated with rapping about doctors, surgeons, medical practitioners and hospitals in general.
He has made a name for himself in the music industry through hard work and numerous collaboration with successful artists.
Apart from his nominations in 2017, he won the best discovery video in the MTN 4Syte Video Award in 2016.
