Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong, aka Medikal, has been arrested for brandishing a gun in a video on social media. The news was first confirmed by mainstream network, Citinewsroom.

This comes a few hours after dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, and four other people were remanded into police custody following an alleged gun attack that turned out to be a hoax.
They were remanded by an Accra Circuit Court on Thursday, October 21, 2021, during their first appearance in court.
Shatta Wale was arrested by the police for spreading false news about an assassination attempt at his residence in Accra on October 19, 2021 and his friend Medikal is also taken.

Medikal comes from Sowutuom, a suburb in Accra, Ghana. Medikal and Sarkodie had the highest nominations for the 2017 edition of the Ghana Music Awards. In 2018, he was on the Tim Westwood Show. Medikal had his High School education at Odorgonno Senior High. He is the son of James Frimpong and Portia Lamptey. Samuel adopted the name Medikal because he was fascinated with rapping about doctors, surgeons, medical practitioners and hospitals in general.
