Ghanaian rapper Okyeame Kwame shared why cheating doesn’t affect the one who’s being cheated on in a recent interview on Okay FM. He stated that if his wife cheated, it would be her disgrace, not his.
The veteran rapper believes that becoming too attached to someone makes you vulnerable to their actions. When they disappoint you, it can lead to sadness and decreased productivity.
Okyeame Kwame said he doesn’t refer to his wife, Annica, as “my wife” but rather as “the wife of Okyeame Kwame.” He and his wife understand this distinction. If his wife were to cheat, he wouldn’t let it affect his day.

He also revealed that when he met his wife at 29, they dated for four years before marrying. Although he wanted to marry her after a year of dating, her parents, who belonged to a different faith, opposed the marriage.
Despite the opposition, they got married without parental approval, believing that marriage doesn’t require parental consent as long as the couple understands each other.
Due to religious conflicts during his marriage, Okyeame Kwame decided to become religiously neutral, no longer belonging to any Christian church but still having an appreciation for spiritual teachings.
