As part of processes for teacher professionalization, the National Teaching Council (NTC) is issuing license to all qualified teachers in both public and private schools in Ghana.
Teachers in the Greater Accra and Central regions have been issued with Teachers professional license and recently finished with Western Region, pending thirteen (13) others regions.
The Council is engaging with the Regional and District Directors to prepare the grounds
before the main exercise in the other 13 regions.
The schedule below indicates the period within which the licensing exercise will take place in each region.
Region and their Date for issuing license are scheduled below:
- Westen Region– July 2021
- Western North Region– August 2021
- Ashanti Region– September to November 2021
- Ahafo Region– December 2021
- Bono Region– January 2022
- Bono East Region– February 2022
- Savannah Region– March 2022
- Northern Region– April 2022
- North East Region– May 2022
- Upper East Region– June 2022
- Upper West Region– July 2022
- Oti Region– August 2022
- Volta Region– September 2022
- Eastern Region– October 2022
The council urges everyone to share this information to all teachers and stakeholders in the aforementioned regions especially the directors concerned.
