The Pan African University (PAU) is calling on Africans to send their applications for the 2026/2027 scholarship opportunities for Masters and PhD programs. PAU, established by the African Union, is a major continental network offering high-quality postgraduate education to support the development of Africa. PAU is inviting young, talented and motivated African students and applicants in the diaspora to apply for its masters degree programs. Admission Requirements For The Pan African University Scholarship Options
Candidates have to tick the following boxes to qualify:
- Masters degree applicants should not older be than 25 years (for male) and 28 years (for female applicants)
- PhD degree applicants should not older be than 28 years for male and 30 years for female applicants.
- Holder of an Undergraduate Degree from a recognised university, with at least a Second-Class Upper Division or its equivalent, in a relevant field.
- Able to present the following documents:
- Certified true copies of relevant certificates, transcripts (from University and High School).
- Passport or National I.D. Card (personal details page)
- Clear coloured passport size photograph (2cmx2cm)
- Detailed CV
- Recommendation letter from one former University lecturer.
- References (Names of 3 University lecturers with their email addresses and WhatsApp numbers).
- Concept note (required only for PhD applicants)
Additional Information
- Candidates may be required to take a written/oral examination after pre-selection.
- Candidates for the Master in Conference Interpreting and Translation programmes are required to have excellent knowledge of at least two of the African Union’s official languages (Arabic, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese).
- The African Union Commission will offer full scholarships to the successful African candidates.
- Scholarship awardees must be committed to working in Africa after graduation

- Carefully read and understand the conditions before clicking on Register
- Provide a valid email and username
- Check your inbox to confirming registration by click on the confirmation link (You may check the spam folder if it doesn’t appear in your inbox)
- Provide a valid password
- Login with your credentials
- Open your application and provide the necessary details
- Click on Save button and after finishing click on FINISH button
