For the 2025/2026 academic year, Ghanaian students interested in enrolling in a postgraduate (Master’s) programme abroad on a scholarship are being encouraged to apply to the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund). The portal for applications was opened on May 30, 2025.
The Requirement:
- Applicants must hold Ghanaian citizenship
- You should have a first degree with first class or second class upper division
- Candidates must have unconditional admission offer from a recognized foreign institution
- You must be ready to begin studies in the 2025/2026 academic year

Application Procedure For The GETFund Postgraduate Scholarship
- First, all applicants are required to visit the scholarship Portal to complete anonline application form.
- On the page, you must either log in or sign up. If you already have an account, you can simply sign in with your login details, however, if you are a new user, you will go through a quick four-step-process to be able to sign up
- After successfully gaining access to the portal, you shall go ahead to complete the online form with all the needed information and scanned copies of requested documents for vetting and shortlisting
- Candidates who qualify for the next stage will be contacted after the vetting process has been completed
- Student shouldn’t be pursuing a master’s programme
- Should not be a previous beneficiary of this award in the same level (Masters)

- All communications will be between the GETFund and the scholarship applicants exclusively.
- Applications have you be submitted ONLY via the scholarship application platform in order to be processed.
- The deadline for submission is 15th June, 2025
