The Ghana Scholarships Secretariat wishes to inform eligible Ghanaians of the Australia Scholarships offered by the Australian Government to the next generation of global leaders.
Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the above mentioned awards which are tenable in Universities in Australia. The financial supports are intended for Ghanaian men and women of high intellectual promise who will be expected to make significant contribution to the achievement of the overall development objectives of the country on their return from study.
Priority field of study:
The offer is for studies at the Master’s level in the underlisted priority areas:
- Agriculture and food security
- Climate Change
- Foreign policy and International security
- Gender, disability and social inclusion and Mining Engineering
Scholarship Package:
- full tuition fees
- return airfare
- an established allowance and living expenses for the duration of the programme
- In addition scholars will also receive health cover, supplementary academic support as well as field work allowance if required for their course
Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria in respect of the offer are as follows:
- Be a Ghanaian citizen
- Must hold an undergraduate degree (equivalent to an Australian undergraduate degree
- Be a minimum of 25 years of age on 1st February, 2026
- Must have a minimum of 5 years post graduate working experience relative to preferred course of study
- Be employed at the time of applying for the scholarship Not have previously received a long-term Australia Award
- Women are particularly encouraged to apply.
