The Ghana Scholarship Secretariat (SCHOLSEC) wishes to inform all interested students that the Local Scholarship Portal for the 2026/2027 academic year is now open.
Requirements for the SCHOLSEC Scholarship
Applicants should:
- Be a Ghanaian and a resident in Ghana
- Have gained admission into a Local Tertiary Institution and registered with the school for the programme
- Be studying STEM-related courses or Law
- Be enrolled in a Public University
Procedure for Application
The application process will be conducted in three phases:
Phase 1: Online Application
All applicants are required to:
- Visit the scholarship portal
- Create an account to register
- Complete the application form
- Upload the following documents:
- Academic transcripts
- Admission letters
- Academic certificates
Phase 2: Aptitude Test
- Applicants will be required to take an aptitude test on a scheduled date within the application period
Phase 3: Selection Interview
Qualified applicants will appear at selected MMDAs for the selection interview.
Application Period
The application portal will be accessible from Friday, April 10th, 2026 to Friday, May 15th, 2026.
