A deadly accident on the Bibiani to Sefwi Bekwai road in the Western North area is reported to have killed around 25 persons.
The accident happened Monday, January 10, 2022, in the morning and over 25 dead in the gory accident on Sefwi-Bibiani road.
The unfortunate incident happened when a Metro Mass Bus collided with a Sprinter Benz Bus, resulting in a horrific catastrophe.
According to eyewitnesses who talked to Starr FM, the Sprinter Bus traveling from Sefwi-Wiawso to Bibiani collided with the Metro Mass Bus traveling from Kumasi to Sefwi-Wiawso.
It was explained that the driver of the Sprinter Bus with registration number ER 1813-19, which was traveling from Sefwi-Wiawso to Bibiani, engaged in wrongful overtaking, resulting in a collision with the Metro Mass Bus, which was traveling from Kumasi to Sefwi-Wiawso.

However, the main cause of the collision is yet to be established by the agency in charge of such activities.
Several people who suffered serious injuries were rushed to Sefwi-Wiawso Government Hospital and Bibiani Government Hospital and nearby hospitals to receive treatment.
According to reports, the bodies of the victims who couldn’t make it have been deposited at the Anhwiaso community and Bibiani Government Hospital morgues.
