The National Media Commission (NMC) condemned Onua TV’s broadcast, considering it perilous and unprofessional. In a statement signed by George Sarpong, the NMC Executive Secretary, the regulator stresses the urgency for the station to enhance its broadcast quality and regulatory compliance.

The NMC specifically calls for an apology from Onua Radio/TV to the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) and his commanders for the offensive language used. Additionally, they demand an apology to the Ghanaian public for the inappropriate language employed.

The NMC sets a deadline of November 19, 2023, for Onua Radio/TV to implement the recommended measures and furnish evidence of compliance. Failure to do so will result in consequences.

This situation underscores the importance of responsible broadcasting, with regulatory bodies ensuring adherence to professional standards in the media landscape.
