Ghana Condemns Hamas Attacks On Israel

The Foreign Affairs Ministry has issued a statement today where Ghana condemns Hamas attacks on Israel.

The surprise assaults orchestrated by Hamas on Saturday resulted in Israel’s deadliest day in many years. These events follow a prolonged period of escalating violence between Palestinians and Israelis. This pushed the decades-old conflict into unfamiliar and perilous territory.

“Ghana unequivocally condemns the attacks and calls on the Hamas leadership to immediately cease the attacks and withdraw its militants from southern Israel,” the statement read.

“While Ghana affirms its support for Israel’s right to exist and defend itself, it calls on the Israeli government to exercise restraint in its response to Hamas’ attacks.”

Also, the statement saw the Ministry of Foreign Affairs encourage the two sides to resolve the situation by returning to the negotiating table.

The United Nations is expected to intervene with the shortest possible time as tensions continue to escalate in this region. This help ensure that the conflict doesn’t develop into something worse. A worsening will likely take a toll on global economy which isn’t great news for any country.
