On Saturday, 29th November, 2025, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) released a Press Statement announcing that provisional results of candidates who sat the 2025 WASSCE are finally out. WAEC also noted that the subject results of 6,295 candidates have been cancelled due to the use of unauthorized materials during exam.
Additionally, the council cancelled the entire results of 653 candidates for sending mobile phones into the examination halls. Further information present in the institution’s press release reports that 908 subject grades and 158 (entire results) have been with withheld for various suspected offenses.
Performance Statistics
A total number of 461,736 candidates, made up of 207,415 males and 254,321 females from 1,021 schools, registered for the examination. This figure is a 0.24% increase over the 2024 entry figure of 460,611. A total number of 5,821 candidates,
representing 1.26% were absent from the examination.
How To Check 2025 WASSCE Results Online in Ghana?
Candidates can now access their results online through WAEC Ghana’s portal. To have access to their grades, candidates are required to do the following.
- Acquire a valid result-checker e-voucher. You can purchase a result checker e-voucher by dialing *713*3998# or visiting buycheckercodes.com.gh
- After step 1, you will receive a serial number and a 12-digit PIN by SMS or on the voucher.
- Go to the official results portal at https://waecgh.org/ and locate the results checking page.
- Enter or select the following details:
- Index Number
- Type of Examination, for example WASSCE
- Examination Year (eg. 2025)
- Serial Number from your voucher
- 12-digit PIN from the voucher
- After your entry, confirm that every detail provided is accurate
- Click submit and wait patiently for your scores to show up on the screen
Important Notice
- The Council is sending caution all its stakeholders to be wary of fraudsters who promise to upgrade results for a fee.
- Candidates are to note that WAEC grades are secured and can be authenticated using its results verification system.
- Only Use the official WAEC portal to check your grades
- Avoid sharing your serial number or pin
