Melcom is looking to hire a Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Technician. He/she will carry out specific duties as listed in the preceding section.
Job Description:
You will:
- Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, including HVAC units, walk-in coolers, and other cooling systems.
- Diagnose malfunctions in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems using tools like gauges, electrical meters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Recommend and implement system upgrades or replacements for improved efficiency and performance, ensuring compliance with energy regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided, including repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Education, skills and Experience:
- Certification in refrigeration and air-conditioning technology or a related field from a recognized technical institution.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
- Understanding of local and international standards and regulations related to HVAC systems, including safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently.
