Accra Marriott Hotel is currently for an organized and reliable individual to occupy the position of Receiving Officer. The role holder is responsible for manage incoming and outgoing packages, maintain accurate inventory, and provide outstanding support to our team and guests.
Position Summary
As a Shipping and Receiving Associate, you will:
- Receive, unload, and process deliveries, ensuring all incoming freight matches invoices and receiving reports.
- Stage merchandise by department, label items appropriately, and deliver them to the correct locations within the facility.
- Verify and track inventory, complete accurate logs, and reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports.
- Receive, store, ship, and deliver department packages and mail while securing the receiving area.
- Follow all national, state, and local hazardous material shipping regulations.
- Ensure package quantity and condition upon receipt and communicate with guests regarding their shipments.
- Maintain detailed tracking of all shipping and receiving transactions, including guest signatures.
- Report any lost, damaged, or missing packages to management promptly.
- Uphold safety standards by reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete required safety training and certifications.
- Follow all company policies, maintain a clean and professional appearance, and safeguard proprietary information and company assets.
- Address guests’ service needs professionally, positively, and promptly.
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and courteously with colleagues, management, and guests.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all departments.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 50 pounds, navigating narrow, elevated, or uneven spaces, and bending, twisting, reaching overhead and below the knees.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: No prior experience required; training will be provided.
- Supervisory Experience: Not required.
