There is an exciting career opportunity at PassionAir. The service of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (Avionics B2) is needed at the prestigious airline. The incumbent reports to the Director of Maintenance and will be responsible for performing aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with Regulatory Airworthiness Standards and Company Policy.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure maintenance tasks and aircraft certification during maintenance scheduled and unscheduled inputs are carried out to the highest possible standards of safety. gualitv. and serviceability.
- Plan, organize, and perform line and hangar maintenance functions including but not limited to pre-flight, daily, and transit checks.
- Take responsibility for defect troubleshooting. rectification. repair. mandatory inspection, and certification of all servicing and maintenance tasks within your scope of approval.
- Assume control of all documentation for the aircraft under your control and verity that the aircraft technical log and associated documents have been completed to the required standard following completion or all maintenance
- Must ensure personal approval/licensing requirements are valid and applicable to aircraft types worked through close liaison with Quality Assurance.
- Ensure handover procedures and all relevant reports pertaining to issues of service delays, incidents, and accidents, are completed in detail identifying all elements leading up to events.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) Regulations
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Analyze and interpret technical information relating to aircraft
- Reading engineering diagrams and manuals.
- Demonstrate appropriate attitude and behaviour in support of safe working practices and maintenance standards.
- Work cooperatively and effectively with others
- Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress toward goals, and track details, data, information, and activiti
- Determine work schedule, and create and implement action plans.
- Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, ant make recommendations and or resolve the problem
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- University/College Degree or Certificate or relevant experien
- Valid ICAO Type II Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License EASA B2 preferred.
- Holder of at least one authorization.
- Minimum of 4 years cumulatively in both line and hangar maintenance certifying the Bombardier Q400 or Dash 8 series similar turboprop aircraft
- At least five (5) years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
- Must be willing to work shifts and away from the home base cover prevailing flight schedules.
