Jumia Ghana has an opening for the position of Logistics Operations Manager – Supply Chain.
What you will be doing:
Responsible for coordinating the storage, transportation and delivery of goods. You will oversee and liaise with colleagues to ensure stock is maintained and moved efficiently.
- Track queues and backlogs
- Monitor operations quality
- Monitor network dispatch operations and manage the team
- Coordinate capacity and frequency with dispatch agents and 3PL
- Train teams and solve issues
- Implement scalable processes to sustain the growth
- Lead continuous improvement projects
- Might require frequent travel within regions
- Challenging established processes and implementing new processes to adapt to the fast growth of Jumia Supply Chain clients
- Managing relationships with clients and partners (Third party logistics partners)

What we are looking for:
- Bachelors. Degree (Business Administration, Logistics- supply chain, Economics, Engineering or equivalent)
- Advanced Excel to create macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, analytical capabilities and work books.
- Relevant professional certification in Logistics or supply chain management will be an added advantage
- 8 years minimum experience, preferably in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment with a strong focus on logistics or alternatives logistics company
- Ability to lead large and remote teams
- Hardworking, result oriented, methodical, very structured
- Pro-active, both autonomous and team player, Flexible
- Ability to negotiate and communicate in flawless English
