In This Role You Will:

  • Assess project costs and expenditures, ensuring they align with approved budgets and identifying any variances.
  • Assist the preparation and assessment of cost reports, forecasts, and financial summaries for project teams and partners.
  • Execute regular cost variance assessments to identify discrepancies between planned and actual project costs, suggesting corrective actions as needed.
  • Liaise with project leaders and teams to collect accurate and timely cost and schedule data for reporting purposes.
  • Support in the preparation and execution of project control procedures and methodologies to enhance cost and schedule handling.
  • Apply project management software and tools to assist project tracking and reporting activities.
  • Execute risk assessments to identify potential cost and schedule overruns and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Deliver technical support and troubleshooting for project control systems and tools.
  • Responsible for assessing relevant risks, applying mitigation measures, and continuously evaluating for risks.
  • Support in preparing and maintaining engineer project schedules, ensuring all tasks, milestones, and deliverables are accurately tracked and updated.

Your Training, Skills and Experience Checklist:

  • B.Sc. degree in Engineering or Accounting or Project Management or equivalent experience.
  • Project management training.
  • A good knowledge of accounting principles.
  • An understanding of construction techniques, methods, productivity, and costs.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management or equivalent.
  • A combination of training and experience is necessary.
