Ghanaian popular comedian and trained teacher, Teacher Kwadwo known formerly as Michael Owusu Afriyie has been sacked by the Ghana Education Service (GES).
He made this known to the public after he posted a photo of the letter he received from the Ghana Education Service (GES) and later brief the content of the letter on social media and tagging the reasons for his dismissal as “funny”.
The summary of the report established that;
- Teacher Kwadwo was absent from school without permission for a total of 55 days in the 2021 academic year.
- He refused to prepare lesson plan and He further refused to submit Lesson Notes for vetting by his Headteacher.
- Mr. Michael Owusu Afriyie exhibited the highest level of insubordination towards the District Director and the School Improvement Support Officer (SISO) responsible for his school.
For these three reasons, Mr. Michael Owusu Afriyie aka Teacher Kwadwo has been sacked.
The Management in the Letter, viewed these conducts serious enough and very unprofessional and unethical.
For these reasons, the popular teacher has been sacked and to this, Teacher Kwadwo has signaled a possible fight back with GES although he doesn’t plan to go back to them and work as a teacher.
“Indeed they have given their reasons for sacking him but is it true?” This is what most netizens are asking.
Teacher Kwadwo has decided to take “matter to COURT not for anything but just to make the world see the rots in Ghana Education Service CLEARLY.”
