Former Rufftown records signee, Francine Koffie, with the stage name Fantana believes female artistes in the Ghanaian music industry deserve much more attention. she feels the females are capable of massively contributing to the advancement of the music industry.
According to the songstress, some female singers are really working hard but their efforts do not receive the needed recognition and appreciation. This is because there is more light on the male artistes. To Fantana, it is highly unfair for the males to receive all the attention. She outlined that male artistes are not so much checked when it comes to their utterances and behaviors. However female artistes receive judgement and scrutiny by their utterances and actions. Fantana urged female musicians to be serious and fight for what they deserve. She also stated that if people were not paying attention to them, they would get their attention at all cost. She relayed this information during an interview with GNA Entertainment. Adding up to what she had already mentioned, she encouraged her colleague females artistes to support each other.
