Actor turned Politician and Farmer John Dumelo has schooled the youth on how to make a living out of vegetable farming.
John Dumelo who has now become a role model for many youths in the country who wants to venture into agriculture has revealed how profitable cabbage farming is in the country.
According the actor, a cabbage farmer can make between $ 3000-5000 as a cabbage farmer between two to three months depending on the season he or she is cultivating the cabbages.
John revealed in his mid year cabbage review that a cabbage farmer can harvest 3000-5000 heads per acre and a head of cabbage costs 6gh($1) which means that the farmer will be making between 3000-5000.
In a tweet, the renowned actor said;
“Midyear Cabbage review: Cabbage takes 2.5-3 months to harvest…..you can harvest about 3000-5000 heads per acre depending on the spacing. Each head can be sold for about 6gh($1) depending on the season.”
