Presbyterian Boys Legon, Keta SHTS and Prempeh College are to face-off today to battle for glory at the Grand Finale of the NSMQ 2021.
Wey school you go? Do not worry much if your school could not make the trip because the best part of it all is, they lost to a better side.
But the likes of Evans and Eden of Prempeh College, Otumfuor and Debrah of PRESEC, Legon and Francisca and Bright of Keta SHTS are sights to behold.
The National Science and Maths Quiz this year has observed many upsets from underdogs and surprise exits of ‘giants in the game’.
For over 25 years the quiz has thrived promoting the study of STEM, it is being hosted in Kumasi on the campus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for the first time.
The NSMQ in Kumasi will undoubtedly go down in history as the most trailblazing edition ever in the annuls of NSMQ.
The Grande Finale today promises to be a contest of wits among PRESEC, Keta SHTS and Prempeh College.
In a keenly contested semi-final, PRESEC Legon won emphatically with 50 points leaving 3x champs ST. Peters SHS and under dog, Chemu SHS behind. Keta SHTS in the second semi-finals contest won with 53 points while Wesley Girls’ High School, Cape Coast and Tamale SHS trailed behind.
In the much heated last semi-finals, one which many tout as the ‘Kumasi Derby’ and the contest of the day, Prempeh College toppled their fiercest Kuamsi arch-rivals, Opoku Ware School denying Opoku Ware School an envious spot in the grande finale.
It was the very contest many were looking up to, moreover, it was worth watching it.
Prempeh College is on a mission to lift their fifth trophy as they close the gap with the 6x titlist PRESEC Legon who are also bent on ‘seven a living God’. Maybe, absolutely maybe, Keta SHTS may thwart these two schools’ ambition that day. Keta SHTS is poised to do exploits on the day of honor.
The heated tension, mixed feelings, the bragging rights, and which school does it best will all be in attendance at the grand finale of the 2021 NSMQ.
You can not just afford to miss another festive season simply because “It is a Primetime Production”!
As the 6x nonpareil, 4x titlist and first-time entrant face-off today, much is anticipated from this competition and the team that emerges as winner.
