PM Renaissance is hiring a receptionist for a distinguished hospitality brand located in the heart of Accra, celebrated for delivering memorable, guest-focused experiences through exceptional service and attention to detail.
The Role:
As the Receptionist, you will serve as the welcoming face of the hotel and the first point of interaction for all guests. You will play a key role in managing front desk operations, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring guests enjoy a smooth and pleasant experience from check-in to check-out. Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests courteously and manage efficient check-in and check-out procedures
- Handle reservations accurately through phone calls, emails, online systems, and walk-ins
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally, referring complex issues to supervisors when necessary
- Maintain a polished appearance and uphold the hotel’s professional image at all times
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls promptly and respectfully
- Keep accurate records of guest details, room status, and daily front desk activities
- Issue room keys and process payments using the hotel’s Property Management System (PMS)
- Update guest accounts and manage billing transactions with precision
- Compile daily operational reports, including occupancy, arrivals and departures, and cash summaries
- Conduct daily stock checks for the hotel minibar
- Confirm guest identification and ensure adherence to safety and security procedures
- Monitor visitor access while safeguarding guest data and confidentiality
- Communicate guest preferences, VIP arrivals, and any incidents to relevant departments
- Ensure the front desk area remains tidy, organized, and adequately supplied
- Adhere strictly to hotel policies on cash handling, confidentiality, and professional conduct
Requirements:
- HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- At least two (2) years of experience in a front desk or similar customer-facing role
- Prior knowledge of hospitality operations is an added advantage
- Willingness to work flexible and rotating shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and night shifts
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- High level of computer literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
