- Faculty of Health Science
- Faculty of Veterinary Science
- Faculty of Economic and Management Science
- Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences
- Faculty of Theology and Religion
Eligibility:
- Applicants from all commonwealth countries are eligible to apply except South Africa.
- You must be under 40 years
- Candidates must have submitted an application to the University Of Pretoria and are willing to begin studies in 2025
- You should have completed your master’s degree not more that two (2) years
- It is important to have identified a potential supervisor at the institution
- To be eligible to apply for these University of Pretoria scholarships, candidates must have sent their academic records to the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).
- If you are currently enrolled on a master’s or PHD at the university of Pretoria, you cannot apply for this opportunity
- You are not eligible if you have previously undertaken a PHD & Master’s at the aforementioned university
Scholarship Perks:
- This is a fully funded program
- Students will receive an annual stipend of R184,000
- Extra funds will be allocated for scholars’ accommodation, medical aid, living expenses and book & stationery
- Assistance will be provided for students’ travel to and from South Africa
- Shuttle services will be provided to scholarship recipients from OR Tambo International Airport in South Africa to Pretoria and back.
- After proof of payment is received, application fees, visa fees, and medical aid expenses can all be reimbursed.
- In South Africa, the scholarship permits winners to hold other external bursaries, grants, or scholarships as long as the total annual value stays under R300,000.
