JOB PURPOSE
We are Currently looking to employ a Quantity Surveyor. The job holder will play a vital role in estimation and construction of the project. He/She will also help in the determination of all related applicable cost and material quantities, determine and request funding where applicable, as well as monitoring and estimating, verifying, and certifying project cost.
JOB DUTIES:
- Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements
- Scrutinizing material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals
- liaising with site managers, contractors and subcontractors in advancing the project
- Preparing reports; contracts, budgets, cost, materials and other relevant documentations
- Liaising with government agencies and departments where applicable
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Management or related
- Minimum of 5 years related experience
- Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills
- IT literacy and effective communication skills
- Knowledge in FIDIC is an added advantage
