The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority has an exciting job vacancy. The institution is seeking to invite applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacancy of Manager, Legal Services at the Legal and International Relations Department.
Job Function:
- Under the general supervision of the Senior Manager of Legal Services, the successful candidate will ensure that all the various functions / tasks are performed as indicated below:
Job Description
- Coordinate Air Transport activities between the Department and the economic regulation and business development department
- Assist in negotiation of Air Services Agreements on behalf of the Authority
- Represent the Authority in court and other quasi-judicial fora
- Prepare and review various legal documents
- Advise all the other departments on issues of legal import
- Initiate legal action and represent the Authority in court
- Assist in the preparation of Directives for the Authority
- Provide advice on required enforcement action for infractions of the Directives
- Serve as member of certificates teams
- Ensure adequate supervision of contracts by liaising with other departments
- Offer legal advice on industrial relations, administrative and other contractual issues
- Perform other duties delegated by the Director of Legal and International Relations

Qualification And Experience Required:
- Have a Degree in Law (LLB) from an accredited University
- Possess a post call certificate (BL)
- Possess a pupllage certificate from a registered Legal Chamber
- Be a practicing Lawyer with a minimum of 4 years post call experience
Must Have Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
- Knowledge in Public Procurement Laws
- knowledge in Transactional Laws including complex and simple agreements
- Knowledge and experience in litigation and court practice
- Knowledge in Legislative Drafting
- Good negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
