The bank Hospital is actively hiring a Front Desk Officer to plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations at the facility. The role holder will report to the Front Desk Supervisor.
Role Overview
The serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role focuses on patient liaison and customer care, appointment booking, theatre scheduling, typing medical reports, data collection, filing, ushering VIPs, conducting patient surveys, and handling general enquiries. Key Responsibilities
Patient Liaison and Customer Care
The Front Desk Officer ensures high patient satisfaction through empathetic, timely, and professional service.
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in person or on the phone.
- Respond to enquiries or direct them to the appropriate department.
- Anticipate patient concerns, answer questions, and help reduce anxiety.
- Maintain a calm, welcoming, and organized reception area.
Administration and Scheduling
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update personal information.
- Manage provider schedules to optimize time and reduce delays.
- Notify providers of patient arrivals and communicate service delays.
- Type medical reports and support administrative tasks.
Continuous Quality Improvement
- Identify process gaps or bottlenecks that affect service delivery.
- Take action to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
- Actively participate in performance and quality improvement initiatives.
Limits of Authority
Operate within approved limits and support the achievement of strategic goals as directed by the CEO.
Skills and Competency Requirements
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and telephone).
- Computer literate; Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.
- Experience in appointment scheduling.
- Patient-centered and customer service oriented.
- Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail, professionalism, flexibility, and quality focus.

Qualifications:
- Minimum HND or equivalent in Management, Social Sciences, or Humanities.
- Additional relevant qualifications and hospital experience are an advantage.
