The role holder is responsible for evaluating and assessing the effectiveness, efficiency, and security of the company’s information systems and technology infrastructure. This role involves performing detailed audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, identifying risks, and providing recommendations for improving IT processes and controls.
Duties:
Conduct IT Audits:
- Plan and execute audits of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure
- Assess the design and operational effectiveness of IT controls
- Identify vulnerabilities and risks within the IT environment.
- Work together with other members of the Audit Department to achieve their Group
Audit objectives.
Evaluate IT Systems and Processes:
- Review system configurations, security settings, and access controls
- Assess the effectiveness of data protection measures, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity processes.
- Evaluate IT governance and risk management practices
Compliance and Regulatory Audits: - Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Review IT compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001 and COBIT)
Follow-Up and Monitoring:
- Track and monitor the implementation of audit recommendations
- Conduct follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions have been taken
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with IT and business units to understand systems and processes.
- Provide guidance and support to management on IT risk management and control issues
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed
- Full participation in remediation of issues identified during audits.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in IT auditing, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance
- Enhance Group IT audit methodologies and tools to improve the audit efficiency and effectiveness
Competencies:
- CISA Certification required.
Strong knowledge of information security and IT risk management frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001 and COBIT. - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science,
- Accounting/Audit, or a related field. CISSP, CISM, and MCSE or professional
Accounting/Audit qualification is a plus. - 3+ years of experience in a similar role is a plus
- Experience troubleshooting systems
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Proficient in auditing common IT systems and infrastructure, such as Windows operating systems, databases, networks, cloud-based services, etc.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiar with a range of software and hardware
