Guinness Ghana also know as GGBL, is offering a new employment opportunity. The Senior Tax Analyst position, located in Achimota, is responsible for ensuring compliance with Ghanaian tax laws, managing tax reporting processes, and providing proactive advisory to the business. The role supports effective risk management, accurate tax filings, and contributes to sound financial decision-making. The incumbent reports to the Tax Manager.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of monthly tax returns, including VAT, Withholding VAT, Withholding Tax, and Excise.
- Perform month-end reconciliations of tax general ledger accounts in SAP.
- Prepare annual, quarterly company income tax and deferred tax computations.
- Support the preparation and filing of transfer pricing returns and documentations.
- Provide proactive tax input to support market innovations and operational changes.
- Deliver day-to-day advisory support to other departments on tax related issues.
- Conduct research on new tax applications and provide recommendations.
- Contribute to tax policies, strategies, and procedures.
- Facilitate annual tax risk assessments to capture regulatory changes.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, tax authorities, and external auditors on statutory audits.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Economics, Law, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a tax function or related accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws with practical experience in tax filings and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (SAP experience is an advantage).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Professional qualification (CITG, ICAG, ACCA) is a plus.
