The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ghana wishes to inform the general public that Ghanaians who are interested in career openings at ECOWAS may apply for vacant positions that are being advertised by the organization to all citizens of member states.
Available Career Openings At ECOWAS
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from a recognized university.
- A higher qualification in human resource management will be a big advantage.
2. Information Technologies & Documentation Officer
- A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, business systems analysis and design, information systems management or any other ICT-related field, from a recognized university.
- A master’s degree in one of the above fields is an added advantage.
3. Webmaster and Network Security
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, business systems analysis and design, information systems management or any other ICT-related field, from a recognized university;
- A higher qualification or training in cybersecurity would be an asset.
4. Travel and Protocol Officer
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, humanities, social sciences, administration, from a recognized university;
- An advanced degree in one of the above fields is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in translation from a recognized university.
- A Master’s degree in Translation is recommended if the Bachelor’s degree is not in Translation studies.
- Bachelor’s degree in translation from a recognized university. A Master’s degree in Translation is recommended if the Bachelor’s degree is not in Translation studies.
Bachelor’s degree in Conference Interpreting from a recognized university. A Master’s degree or other higher qualifications in conference interpreting is desirable.
Hold a Master’s degree in Procurement from a recognized university.
9. Driver – Office of the Auditor General of ECOWAS Institutions
- West African School Certificate or equivalent certificate with a formal driver training certificate and a valid driver’s license/ certification to operate assigned vehicle.
10. Office Manager/Receptionist
- HND or equivalent in secretarial studies or Business administration in a related field from a recognized University.
- Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in administrative Secretarial services including such tasks as the maintenance of personnel and financial records, technical cooperation planning and/or implementation.
- West African School Certificate or equivalent certificate with a formal driver training certificate and a valid driver’s license/ certification to operate assigned vehicle.
Potential candidates must be under:
- 35 years of age for General Services or Support positions (G1 to G7)
- 45 years of age for Professional category (P1 to P7)
- 50 years of age for Director positions (D1-D2)
- Citizens of ECOWAS nations
